SERVICES
Service of Legal Process
Fast - Efficient - Professional
We are a full service private investigation firm providing process service to the Buncombe County and surrounding areas.
Our goal is to provide legal support services in a prompt, efficient and cost-effective manner. Our area of service extends to the entire state of North Carolina. We offer quick and dependable processing of many types of documents. Our standard service turn-around time is three to seven days after receipt of the document(s). Rush and Same Day services are also available.
The Professional Investigations Company. will gladly pick up documents from the court of issue, attorney's office or client's location for service to individuals, companies or institutions as required although we prefer that documents be mailed to us, when possible. We also provide filing services with the courts and copies to the attorney of record, according to the client's request.
As a full-service private investigation firm, we can offer a level of performance not found with most standard process service companies. With access to dozens of computer databases, including the Department of Motor Vehicles,we are consistently able to complete service of process where others fail. We approach every assignment as if it will be a "hard serve" and perform the necessary background research to maximize our effectiveness.
Fees:
Our standard process service is $50.00 for two attempts depending on the distance that has to be traveled.

THE FOLLOWING CHARGES MAY APPLY. PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS
· Notary Public- If you require that a proof of service be notarized, please include an additional $10.00 per document.
· Rates are per summons/subpoena except when more than one document is served to the same person at the same time. $25.00 is charged for each additional return.
· In cases where the address provided is incorrect, we will determine the correct address for an additional investigative fee of $60.00.
· Service attempts in which the person or entity cannot be located because the address is incorrect or no such person/entity exists at that address, will be returned as "unable to locate" and billed at above stated rates.
Surveillance:

The goal of surveillance and investigation is to discover and document the facts: in other words, the truth. Beginning with a well-developed investigative plan, our level of preparedness assures that our investigators will have a high degree of success. Naturally, there are unpredictable elements in any given surveillance assignment, such as traffic congestion, faulty information, etc.
